My eating habits of a year ago would not recognize my lunch now. Somehow I went from a burger out of the vending machine to homemade soup. Yay me.

I love homemade soup. I make homemade soup at every opportunity. The opportunities do not present themselves as often as one might think. As soon as my children see me getting the stock pot out the wails of "soup poisoning" start.

Do you have favorite soups?

Beef stew is fantastic! Rock soup is my favorite (first put a rock in the pot...), potato soup is another favorite. I also do evil things (according to my children) to ramen.

I have pretty well banned Ramen in my house after some of the ramen based concoctions my roommate came up with.

*grin* I can't resist putting chopped veggies (green onion, carrots, celery), mushrooms, and maybe diced chicken in the ramen.

Now that sounds interesting!

None of those are too bad...but the bisquik, dillweed, cooking wine...etc etc etc are. He once concocted something that made both myself and our other housemate nauseous and we banned him from ever making it again.

I have mercifully blocked out most of the rest of his experiments..and yes, he really did add bisquick to his ramen on more than one occasion.

*LOL* My daughter experiments with unusual spice combinations. It's a good way to learn...as long as you don't have to taste it. *grin*

Or smell some of them. I am not sure my nose will ever recover from a few of them.
