A day, plus fic-plotting.

The thick heavy twilight closes around us so sweet unshed tears ripple through my
eyes and voice; I reach an empty hand for the space where your heart should beat, in
the air just out of my reach.

I think I used to believe that there were only so many stories in my heart, and when
I told all of them, I'd be used up and there would be no more coming. But there are
too many for me to tell in my lifetime, so I've got to start telling more of them
and getting them out of my head to make way for the ones that are to come.
The crazy guys keep trying to demonstrate this to me, and I guess I haven't been
listening as closely as I should be.

"Hopeless Cause"
It wasn't that Boots O'Neil was a pushover, exactly, it was that his roommate and
long-time friend Bruno was so very enthusiastic, and had a habit of doing the very
things that Boots tried to warn him against doing.
After the first few disasters, where Bruno took on a problem far too large for him
and, amazingly, managed to prevail, at the cost of Boots's nerves, Boots learned how
to manage things.

And hey. How come I am having difficulties staying logged in after logging in with
TypeKey to make a comment on a TypePad blog? Bizarre. (Ooo, I wonder if it's an
Embedding problem?) Problematical link:
http://simonandrews.typepad.com/big_picture/2007/03/blogging_spin.html#comments,
though I was accessing it at the URL http://www.bigpictureadvertising.co.uk/ -- I go
over there completely logged out, log in using the handy link, return, type up my
comment, hit post, and get asked for my info. *eyes the crab* IE

(If necessary I write up trouble ticket if pointed in the right direction.)

At least Traveling Manager's expense sheets are all prepared. I really am a
secretary around here.

Made that comment to the Edwards LJ that I think the entirety of Support has been
thinking about, telling him about communities. Whee, grassroots LJ fun.
There's a query running. There is also country music in my ear. I do like some, so
I'm sorting to see if Pandora can give me what I want.

Event committee meeting = win. Lots of talking, but lots of interestind things too.
I get to write up the minutes! Whee!

- The list of your typekey.com, typepad.com, and bigpictureadvertising.co.uk cookies (everything about the cookies except the actual data)
- The exact string you're entering as your TypeKey identity
- What happens if you try to comment directly on the TypePad blog without going through the other URL (you can test on my own blog if needed - its name should be obvious)
I can't promise a speedy answer (or indeed any answer at all), but I'll try.

It wasn't that Boots O'Neil was a pushover, exactly, it was that his roommate and long-time friend Bruno was so very enthusiastic, and had a habit of doing the very things that Boots tried to warn him against doing.
After the first few disasters, where Bruno took on a problem far too large for him and, amazingly, managed to prevail, at the cost of Boots's nerves, Boots learned how to manage things. If he complained loudly enough about something, Bruno would charge against it with all flags flying. Boots would have to pick Bruno's battles very carefully.
This was why Boots didn't dare breathe a word of it when he realized that the name that sometimes slipped out in the shower (when he was sure no one could hear him) was Bruno's. He bit his lip and complained about the insane assignments the teachers were handing out; didn't they realize there were classes other than theirs?
True to form, Bruno rallied support from everyone sick of all the papers coming due on the same week. The only stubborn hold-out was Elmer, who insisted that a proper study schedule would solve everything. He was shouted down by a chorus of students led by Bruno. Boots stood at Bruno's side and grinned proudly as the Fish unveiled a master class assignment calendar. Even Elmer was grudgingly impressed, proclaiming that his world was the iCal world, whatever that meant.

Love it, hope you keep going.

"He sure didn't," Boots returned glumly. It was over. Bruno had won yet again. The exhilaration was starting to wear off. Bruno would coast on the laurels of this victory for a week, maybe a week and a half, and then he would be open to suggestion again. There weren't many more things left that Bruno would be able to tackle without getting them in deeper trouble than it was worth. They just had the rest of this year to get through. Surely there was only time for one more major campaign.
"You don't sound very happy," Bruno observed.
