Hey. I was just on the suggestions community and i went to join and it said its closed to new members. Quite frankly i don't really wanna join. I just have one suggestion. Is there anyway we can make it so you have the option to make your journal password protected? Like your friends can see it and everything, but when you click on the "View Journal" Button you have to type in a password to get into it. I share a computer with my nosy family and i occasionally forget to log out and i can't take them getting into my business anymore. Plus you know how when they email you telling you, you have a comment and it includes your post in the comment? Is there anyway to change that?

I don't even know if your the right person i should be asking/telling my suggestion. But if not and you know who is please let me know.

http://community.livejournal.com/suggestions/profile explains the steps to submit a suggestion. You don't have to join. Fill out the form with your suggestion and someone will review it (I'm actually not one of the people who reviews suggestions; I mostly keep track of comments in the community) and then it may be posted to the community.

This FAQ describes your login options. Of those, I would recommend not enabling "Remember Me", and closing your browser each and every time. This way, if all of your entries are friends-only, your family would not be able to see them once you have logged out. However, since you're not remembering to log out each time, it sounds like you want something more like your session expiring after, say, a half-hour of no activity. We don't have that, but feel free to suggest it, since I don't think anyone has suggested it recently.

You can disable comment notification e-mails. You cannot exclude your post from being included in the comment notification e-mails. I don't believe anyone's submitted a suggestion like that recently, so if you would also like to write that suggestion up for discussion, feel free to do so.
