The utter embarrassment of talking with an interesting co-worker about good books ... and then suddenly capsizing completely, spilling Mountain Dew (orange) all over his desk...

...Oy vey.

I'll be showing up in the security guy's report, to boot -- the security guy was on duty then, and has to report it when the silly monitor's shoes and ankles contribute to her going and falling down boom.

Oh dear. Well, um, ... nope, not having any luck finding a bright side, other than the obvious fact that your pride took the worst injury from your fall, which is one good thing.

Well, he's a cute guy with a firm sense of humor that includes being able to laugh with people who are laughing at themselves, and he's also fen, and I also have no real interest in him, and we also have pre-existing friends in common. And he thought the thing where I wrote "Daniel Jackson [his real last name]" on a memo to him was funny.

Being someone who can laugh at themselves in a social group that includes a large number of humorless drama queens is a good, good thing.
