Monday at work.

Day started only semi-auspiciously, with That Dang Song echoing in my head as I tried to wake up. (The actual first waking of the day was auspicious, and I got
hcolleen to work I think early so she could borrow some of their internet.) The strawberries were at a reasonable price; the cherries were not. I opted for strawberries instead, though this was not what I was getting set for.

I want to smack someone in the head with a brick or something. They got their hours not only wrong, but WRONG. It really helps if you account for the dialing hours between the hours of 0830 and 0915. I have no idea how many of your phone goons were there for that time, because you didn't show them on the hours chart. Since your hours chart never lines up with the automatic timeclock, we use the percentage from the hours chart to divide the hours from the automatic timeclock. Good going, my friends. Good going.

Lunch was courtesy of company leftovers. The great thing about working near the rooms usually used for meetings is that if you get your timing right, there are leftovers from the lunch meetings, and that's a happy thing indeed. Today's was tasty stuff in warm thick flour tortillas.

New hires means insanity.
There were very bad things going on with the paperwork today. I'm grateful I only had to deal with some of it.

All that was left by the time I ate was chips, mostly. There wasn't even salsa. :( Oh well.
Ooh, fresh meat.

"That Dang Song" was one of these two:
If you leave, don’t leave now
Please don’t take my heart away
Promise me, just one more night
Then we’ll go our separate ways
We’ve always had time on our side
Now it’s fading fast
Every second, every moment
We’ve gotta make it last
I touch you once, I touch you twice
I won’t let go at any price
I need you now like I need you then
You always said we'd still be friends someday
If you leave I won't cry
I won't waste a single day
But if you leave don't look back
I'll be running the other way
Seven years went under the bridge
Like time was standing still
Heaven knows what happens now
You’ve gotta say you will
I'll touch you once, I'll touch you twice
I won't let go at any price
I need you now like I need you then
You always said we'd meet again someday
I touch you once, I touch you twice
I won’t let go at any price
I need you now like I need you then
You always said we’d meet again someday
If you leave
If you leave
Don’t look back
Don’t look back
LeAnn Rimes: "How Do I Live" --
How do I,
Get through the night without you?
If I had to live without you,
What kind of life would that be?
Oh, I
I need you in my arms, need you to hold,
You're my world, my heart, my soul,
If you ever leave,
Baby you would take away everything good in my life,
And tell me now
How do I live without you?
I want to know,
How do I breathe without you?
If you ever go,
How do I ever, ever survive?
How do I, how do I, oh how do I live?
Without you,
There'd be no sun in my sky,
There would be no love in my life,
There'd be no world left for me.
And I,
Baby I don't know what I would do,
I'd be lost if I lost you,
If you ever leave,
Baby you would take away everything real in my life,
And tell me now,
How do I live without you?
I want to know,
How do I breathe without you?
If you ever go,
How do I ever, ever survive?
How do I, how do I, oh how do I live?
Please tell me baby,
How do I go on?
If you ever leave,
Baby you would take away everything,
I need you with me,
Baby don't you know that you're everything,
Real in my life?
And tell me now,
How do I live without you,
I want to know,
How do I breathe without you?
If you ever go,
How do I ever, ever survive?
How do I, how do I, oh how do I live?
How do I live without you?
How do I live without you baby?
