weather/schedule
Dust storm outside. Visibility is crap. There is the sound of some rain. Dust is making its way inside even though all doors/windows are closed.
Work runs from 7am to 3:30pm at the moment, Mon-Fri. It will be 6am - 2:30pm Sun-Thurs when we finish training. Since we are in Phoenix and work is in Tempe, I have to get up at 5:30 in order to get there. It will be 4:30 when the real schedule kicks in.
The wind chimes sound lovely. Water is splatting on the roof intermittently.
In addition to training, I've been going in to my old job for four-hour chunks of time after I get off the new job. There are still things I need to do there. The new job's pay weeks are not on the same cycle the old one's are, but this calendar week I estimate that between the training and the old job I'll have put in 56 hours. Add in anime night, writers group, and Potterdamerung...
I love the sound of the wind. I'd hate to be out in this, but it's wonderful to be inside and listen to it. I will fall safely and sweetly asleep.

Now that I've worried my worry and gotten some reassurance, I think I'm a little more equipped to deal with getting her checked out and placed somewhere.
The genuine worst part of it has been the uncertainty of not knowing when/if he's going to be retrieving her. I can't bond with any cat under those circumstances, even though she looks like she wants to choose me. Now that I've come to the conclusion that he probably does not deserve her back unless he demonstrates that he can provide a stable home for her, it's going to be a lot easier.
