I see the shadows of heat boiling up from the concrete outside. Reality itself wavers under the sun.
A guy on the phone cracked the Al Gore inventing the internet one at me, so I cracked tubes right back at him. Did I mention what a small state this is? They are on speaking terms, at least.

Which state is small?

That's both brain-breaking and understandable at the same time.

That reminds me:

On my first day at my new job, I had to format my machine and install Ubuntu linux on it - which required picking a hostname. I was told that the theme for the company was 'places with snow', so I picked 'fairbanks'.

I fished around the interwebs and managed to find one panoramic picture that claims to be of that area to use on the dual-monitor desktop. Don't suppose you'd happen to know of anywhere I could get a higher resolution one? (The one I found is quite a way from actually filling my desktop.)

Ta!

That's awesome, thank you.

The first one is actually what I'm using at the moment, and I think that the massive second one should be big enough to fit (with some cropping).

The first one I actually found quite amusing: lots of Scotland looks like that.

I've now cropped the second one and have it on my desktop at work. Thanks! :o)

And I'm not sure I would - Alaska is much colder than Scotland! (And Arizona is much hotter, of course.)
