Two things I have learned in the past 24 hours:

1) U-Haul would almost have to be the last trucking service on Earth before I would hire one of their vehicles again.

2) 10 hours is not long enough to have the truck, especially when THEIR time counts from 7am and we didn't get there until nearly 9am. (WTF.)

All stuff is unloaded from truck. Feeling what a wimp I am; feeling very fortunate to have a body on which the pieces WORK. Two sides to it. Always two sides to it. Now working on getting things up & returning truck. Things are parked in my parking spot & being shifted from there.

I know at least one person who used to work for them, and the people at the place were nice, so not universal fuckwits, but ... the level of fuckwittery is high.

You couldn't rent it for 24 hours? U-haul charges by the day or by the mile, unless they've changed something recently.

They asked me how long I wanted it for, and did not indicate in the order process that I could get it for the full 24 without extra $$. I picked 10 hours, since that sounded sane. *headdesk* Live, learn, and avoid.

I'm actually about to go pick up my U-Haul. You know, assuming that they actually acknowledge the fact that we reserved one.

I've heard nothing good about them, but ended up going with them anyway.
