OK, now that is irritating.

http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/ - go and make sure your content settings are how you want them to be. The search is set by default to moderate, which is one of those things where it would have been very nice if there were a warning. If I were in charge of implementation, I might have left current users at no filtering, and then set new users by default to moderate or whatever. (I'm not in charge of implementation.)

In other news, I won't win NaNo, but the novel will be finished.

Thanks. I don't think I want LJ deciding that I'm not old enough to search for adult content, so now *that's* fixed.

I really didn't like it when they added the offsite link previews, and it took me quite a while to figure out I could make them GO AWAY.

The problem is they add stuff, and you sit there and wonder if you're crazy or if the site has changed. And then by the time you figure out you're *not* crazy, you have usually figured out how to return things to a useful (about half the time *more* useful) state.

That is very annoying.

The LJ part, not the NaNoWriMo part.

Seekrit Feature Wish: Account settings by computer (so you could make your work computer SFW and your home computer NSFW)

Maybe there could be a... like... option to use the "I'm over 18" cookie even when logged in.

Speaking of which, I wonder how long the "I'm over 18" cookie lasts. Because it's clearly more than one viewing of the page or site... I've navigated away from LJ and navigated back and it's still there. is there a way to get rid of the cookie on a family computer without eating the whole jar?

A shiny thing!

I'm apparently not just five, but a *hyperactive* five.
