Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] synecdochic:
If your life were a fandom, and people wrote RPF about you, who would they ship you with? What would your fandom be like? (And if my life were a fandom, and you wanted to write RPF about me, who would you ship me with?)

Mine would be one of those long-running soap-operatic series with a lot of shorter story arcs and some longer ones, but no single story arc spanning the whole series, and a lot of people who picked it up mid-series and haven't gone back and watched the beginning stuff yet.

There would be some diehard Season 1 fans trying to make [livejournal.com profile] azurelunatic/[livejournal.com profile] pyrogenic/[livejournal.com profile] boojum/Lady E work, in any combination, though femtrio would be the rarest, and leaving [livejournal.com profile] boojum out of it would be the most common. There was enough UST there to make it work.

Season 2 fans who 'shipped canon pairings would be trying to make an [livejournal.com profile] azurelunatic/That Idiot Shawn pairing work out, and writing very very bad babyfic. (There might still be some people trying to slash me with Savil, come to think of it...)

All but the most vocal Season 3 tinhats have given up on [livejournal.com profile] azurelunatic/River, and they're mad it got written out for that canon milksop BJ. (Still. You'd think they'd be satisfied by the fact that said milksop was written out before Season 4 got properly started.)

Seasons 4-6 are the ones where most of the fandom goes for the canon UST pairing of [livejournal.com profile] azurelunatic/Darkside, though there is a small but vocal minority in favor of [livejournal.com profile] azurelunatic/[livejournal.com profile] votania, the Happy Family camp, citing the concept that I was far too close to the LF to *just* be an aunt, and further citing the fact that I really wanted to punch [livejournal.com profile] marxdarx in the face a lot as srs evidencezors. (No one likes any of the canon het 'ships in seasons 4-6, although there are some slashers who want to cross [livejournal.com profile] digitalambience/[livejournal.com profile] figment0 for the sheer hot-and-wrong.)

The fandom has gotten onto more and more crack pairings in the absence of actual viable canon pairings in seasons 7 and 8, and upcoming season 9. Some people are shipping [livejournal.com profile] hcolleen/[livejournal.com profile] azurelunatic. Some really cracked-out people might try to 'ship [livejournal.com profile] gameboyguy13/[livejournal.com profile] azurelunatic, but that works as well, as, er. You know. *wavy hand gestures*1 There would be some who'd decide that canon was wrong to drop the [livejournal.com profile] sithjawa pairing. There'd be some who'd decide that [livejournal.com profile] chas_/[livejournal.com profile] smmc could use some spicing up, and toss me in there with them, and some who'd try to pair me off with [livejournal.com profile] trystan_laryssa. A lot of the old-school Darkside/[livejournal.com profile] azurelunatic shippers would be hardcore upset about the new canon interest in the Red Cube Badge Guy, but some of them would attempt to soothe their ruffled feathers by slashing Darkside/Red Cube Badge Guy for geeky, geeky, hot man-love.

So.

1) There's a quote pertaining to this sort of situation in a QDB that will be familiar to some of you. (If you know what it is, heeeeeeee.)
wibbble: A manipulated picture of my eye, with a blue swirling background. (Default)

I think this meme would be far more entertaining for [livejournal.com profile] elance to do than it would be for me.

OTOH, It's well established that if my life were a fandom, I'd be being slashed with [livejournal.com profile] literaltruth.

The [livejournal.com profile] sithjawa pairing doesn't work in a soap opera. It'd be a hit with those who wanted to alter the tone of the show, especially those who thought [livejournal.com profile] sithjawa's show should have done more film-noir paranormal mystery and less medical/entrepreneurial drama. Occasional crossover fanfics center around side-plots of both.

[livejournal.com profile] azurelunatic/[livejournal.com profile] elance/[livejournal.com profile] wibbble would make an appearance now and then as a rare, but fervid, OT3. ;)

LOL!!!! XDDDD This is an awesome idea for a meme! :D Heeee... for a crack pairing, JD/Azz would be awesomely fun to 'ship. :D *Considers calling it JAzz, and then gets shot for it* >.>

Alas, there would be no point in my doing this one, since I'm not really 'shippable with anyone, and besides, I'm already in a canon relationship. XD
