At one point, we discussed the idea of bailing, and if so, when to do it. The consensus was along the lines of "When we see the bomb squad running."

The bomb squad just fucking misses the ideology of, say, 2004. (The bomb squad does not miss the, shall we say, strategic planning & insight of 2004 -- but the bomb squad was having conversations amongst itself in 2004 on how to fix those, so it's an old problem that's already been theoretically solved. *g*)
