In better news, the first thing that made me cry this morning: They found more of Metropolis. Not all of it. But. I watched the next-most-complete version with myrrhianna in the last few months, and it touched me.

Whoot! That makes me so happy!!!!! I hope they can do a proper restoration from the reels.

The only thing that would make me happier would be lost reels of Greed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greed_(film)). But that, I'm afraid, will never happen. (It was cut from nine hours to two by MGM, then the rest destroyed.)
