So writers group is at iHop talking about booze. And what kinds of booze people can have, as Heather is allergic to a whole lot of stuff. Bourbon comes up, and Heather mentions that she *can* have that, as it's made of corn. How does she know that? This anime she saw. Why did she learn this from the anime? Well, it was a (minor) plot point that the bourbon was made of corn. How was that a plot point and why was it memorable? Because someone gets someone else drunk on bourbon and then has his way with him, so the protector of the drunken boy ties up the harasser and, as bourbon is made from corn, employs some corn and bourbon in NSFW ways.

So that's how the conversation goes.

Next week, the next table over presents writers group as a whole with a bag containing corn on the cob, and condoms.

Hilarity ensues.

We did.

The corn was melted and pretty nasty, so that got tossed. :(

The condoms are in my drawer, given that hcolleen is allergic to latex.

In my experience, condoms generally do require being there. (Or at least, condoms aren't required if you're not actually there....)
