... because I totally have a vaguely anime-influenced woman peering up at me out of a notebook, all tits and skirts and long trailing hair and silver star around her neck, great dark eyes shining up at me from behind wire-rimmed oval glasses, wanting to know what happens next, and a grimly sarcastic man in a dark trench coat lurking as yet undrawn behind her, radiating a dangerous kind of amusement.

After the night I had at work, maybe it's time to step down the St. John's Wort?

For those who aren't familiar: she is one of the Sue-iest Sues who ever Sued. It's supposed to be noir. I don't know that I noir very well.

This was mostly a cranky musing that if proper medication means that my normal brain chemistry when corrected by medication will be perky and deliver bursts of sheer *cheerful* and insist on attaching that to He Who Must Not Be Poked With Sticks, then perhaps undermedicating will counteract that to a less obnoxious level. There were all those outbursts of OMFGPERKY in my work log from last night. SOME OF THEM WERE ABOUT HIS PANTS.

Occasionally when I overmedicate, crankiness ensues. Know how when one is depressed, everything is one's own fault? The opposite of that occurs. I slept in and was late to work, perhaps? Totally someone else's fault, somehow. Couldn't possibly be mine. You suggest otherwise? You are wrong. We can't have that. I must explain how incorrect you are! It will be fun!

Your high energy state is way cooler than mine. :P For me, silly/hyper is sleep-depped low energy but still inclined to interact with other people. It is imaginary energy!

I was describing "drunk" to the best friend. (He does not, in general, drink.) He queried, as my state around him was often excessively silly. (Not that he was expecting that I was perpetually drunk around him, but that he rarely ever saw me in a state other than silly, so he was baffled.)
