Color IQ Test -- arrange the chips in order from the one at the one end to the other at the other end. A perfect score is 0. I got an 8. It's been going around at Ravelry, evidently. My color sense is not so sharp in the blues or the reds, because there was a cluster in each that I missed. (It shows you what you missed at the end, though not which was swapped with which.)

Agenda for the day includes:
Release the Roomba
put away laundry
scrape up change
visit Cheap & Easy for like apples or something
attack the refrigerator


I have been carrying a miniature composition book around in my pocket for the past few weeks. It makes life absolutely grand. It gets the strangest stuff written in it, it's very battered now, but it preserves the random that really can't be handled any other way than on paper. It started for the Darkside Knightmares stuff, but it's been collecting Home Movies from the Cutting-Room Floor content, and general random life content.

It was! As I said over in the journal of the person who took this first on my friendslist, I did a search routine -- first a rough sort, then a more detailed sort, and finally comparing each against each.

I got a 58, which is odd, because I usually ace the optometrist version. I suspect it is not well designed to allow for different monitors. The results bands are... odd.

Yeah. The web-safe colors do not allow for that kind of fine-tuning.

Didn't note score on first try. Second try 4. Carefully checked position of each tile by exchanging with tiles on either side.

I got a 4... and my swaps seemed to happen pretty consistantly throughout. Also, I'm working on a laptop screen - I wonder how much difference that makes?

Probably at least some; there's a listing of web-safe colors for a reason, and that's because not all monitors will display equally!

Even with web-safe colours, that won't help if your monitor's calibration is messed up. And who, other than people doing graphics work for a living, bothers to properly calibrate their monitors? I know I'm not going to spend £100 for a calibration tool.

I also got an 8, with two clusters separated by only two color squares, so probably all in the same category. I wish their scoring picture showed the actual colors missed, as I can't remember clearly which colors I was dealing with at that point in the test.

I got an 18 as well. My big problem areas were in the green blue. I did great on the reds and yellows! odd... my bedroom is red, and my living room is yellow.
I guess compared to other females in my 'age' *koffkoff* i did pretty well.

When I did it, it showed bits of the spectrum underlined in white, before entering age/etc.
