The scanner was involved, as was some sort of print on fabric arrangement. I was really impressed by the piecing of the bookshelf down at the bottom. That's our bookshelf from when I was a kid.
It started to come together about eight years ago when we were brainstorming about what she should do for me for a quilt. We poked ideas back and forth. That was the general idea we came up with, except we were originally thinking just colored fabric and titles of books. It was Dad's idea to scan the book spines. I'm not sure whether this should be a wall quilt or a bed quilt.
I can see why that would be a hard decision. Personally, I'd go for being able to cuddle with my books, but well-loved books do get a bit dog-eared after awhile.
