Part of it is cleaning up: I have no particular need for a dozen little-girl dresses, and some of them are really too beat-up to pass along. I'll have the memories in the fabric in the quilt, as they should be.

This is the same thing that has me scanning little scraps of paper with sketches and event paperwork. I have no need for the actual paper. I want the memories.
