Fanfic readers demand smut and crazy scenarios to suit their twisted and deviant imaginations, and fanfic writers follow through with smut perverse beyond the readers' wildest dreams.

Anonymous kink meme:
The same, but in a dark alley.


In case you can't tell, I highly approve of anonymous kink memes, and ought to try my hand at writing in one someday. :D

Not necessarily fanfic readers/writers :-/

(I am pointedly *not* a fanfic reader or writer, and yet, I put up the DW darkroom orgy in the summer, and enjoy them just the same. The crowd of folk who participated in the original LJ ones were also not, to the best of my knowledge, fanfic readers - most were friends of the creator, from the London goff scene. Of course, once it spread out beyond the intial core of people, it's entirely possible that fanfic people came and joined in, and the one I ran almost certainly had mostly fanfic folk...

...but I guess I just wanted to say "hey, me too!"...)

I think this is different subsets of the same parent or grandparent concept. The class of kink memes I was referring to, though I suppose I didn't specify, are all specific fandom and fanfiction based. I suspect I would be quite out of line at a journal darkroom orgy to request that someone write me Chekov and Sulu having sex in the Captain's chair, and that it wouldn't go over well if someone started sharing their personal fantasies about a requester in a fandom kink meme.
