Ahh, news from home.

alaskans: Bill to criminalize bestiality advances in Alaska Legislature
The community wasn't aware that this was such a notable problem.
I was irresistibly reminded of the past...
One fine Christmas morning, my father pulled out the radio and tuned it around to hear what we could hear. We stumbled upon the radiotelephone call of someone out in the bush calling some friend or family member Outside. The fellow mentioned, partway through, that it was a radiotelephone call, and therefore could potentially be overheard. They closed the call with: "Think of me when you're fucking that cow." "And you think of me when you're fucking that moose."
Now that's the sort of heartwarming childhood Christmas that sticks with you a lifetime.

That's priceless. Though I shouldn't have read the news story.
When I was a girl and often lived on my grandparents' horse farm, I overheard one of the young grooms talking to his younger brother. It's more than 25 years ago, so this is not verbatim, but it was along the lines of:
'No! God no! Why would you ever think that? That's just wrong! Use your hand! [Pause] Though if you ever really had to, leave the sheep alone, they're only little. And the horses will kick you to death. Cows. You'd probably be safe with cows.'
It took me a few minutes to work out what the hell he was talking about, at which point I was torn between being horrified and admiring his pragmatism.
