A Trojan! Avast! ... or not

Avast! antivirus is reporting a Trojan on some LJ pages. According to the testing done by LJ Ops, there is no such Trojan present, and Support was unable to find any other antivirus besides Avast! reporting this.

If you're not using Avast! and you get such a warning, definitely report it posthaste.

Yep, I actually had my copy spring to life and whine scant minutes after reading your post. :D

An update with a fix was just released. :3 Seems to work so far.

I still second the recommendation on reporting any other detections from any other anti-virus/anti-malware programs, though.

Yeah, I've been keeping tabs on this because this kind of freaked the hell out of me when I first saw it. I won't say any more for obvious reasons, but let's just say that it really sucks ass that we have to be this overly vigilant in our dealings over teh Intarwebs. =P
