I set up a separate Twitter account for spoiler and high-volume-fannish chatter, after an incident where I upset Fairlight by saying something too spoilery for something he hadn't seen, and a few incidents where a couple other people were ready to stab me for excessive babble about stuff they had absolutely no interest in.

I've finished!!!! I can't wait for the next one. This was actually tougher for me to read than Feed, believe it or not. (Did you read that one? It's got zombies and politics.) I suspect it'll take me another few trips through it to get everything sorted out in my head.

I did not read Feed, but I had to remove Fairlight from the ceiling (metaphorically) after he read it. He says he liked it, but I'm not sure that I believe him. He said that I would like it, but I'm not sure I believe that either, and told him he should stick to October Daye. (It was actually Fairlight's cat that I had to literally remove from a high place. The FB was tired of being squeezed.)

I absolutely don't care about television shows, but I do remember that sulk. Fairlight won't even go into his own study and watch torrents on his laptop if I'm at home, because he knows that video affects my synaesthesia and he doesn't want that happening, so I must apologize, as that sulk was probably indirectly my fault. I don't understand why people as intelligent as Fairlight and his friends watch so much TV. But. I don't feel like having that argument.

I was really furious with Alan for a while. And it made absurdly sad when Annabel died. But you've never met my Mom.

You're not one of the people I would warn away from Feed, though I'm not particularly familiar with your tastes in fiction other than SRB's books, but it does involve characters we probably care about dying.

I read it last night. All I can say is HOLY SHITE. Jamie needs better taste in men. So does Mae. Poor, poor Annabel. Alan needs a kick upside the head. Poor, poor Sin. Nick needs a cuddle or eleventybillion. Merris scares me even more now than in book 1. Gerald and the magicians scare me a little bit more than in book 1 (but only a little). And finally, WHERE IS BOOK 3?

BOOK 3 CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH.
