Thankfully they're dealing with the notification issue, finally.

Though, re: the purge, doesn't that mean they'll losing the bragging rights of having 26 million journals? (As IIRC, the amount of journals defined as 'inactive' using those criteria is probably in the millions)

Maintainers as in comm maintainers? I hadn't realized that the spam problem was still going so badly (I haven't been hit w/ spam on LJ for a long time).

I wonder how many of those suspended spammers there are.

From my perspective, it's definitely better than it used to be like a year ago, but some of the comms I watch have had a little bit of an upswing in the past bit.

Whoa, I see. Hopefully getting rid of the suspended accounts will improve things for maintainers and other users.

On the other hand, now I'm kind of wondering, will all of these purges impact the performance of the site?
