Work, etc.
Have determined that the long ramble about Star Wars and specifically Anakin/Vader that I went on last night is the basis for my argumentative research paper. Darkside wants to know whether it's the paper that's argumentative, or me argumentative about the paper. Both, I told him.
Started filling out job application for Zodiac (local magick shop) yesterday evening. Much fun. Felt I could actually, given the nature of the job, put down the truest true reason for my leaving the most recent job: "Soul-sucking telephone research drove me nuts." Will finish filling out today, and hopefully turn in, and maybe interview.
Adam still hasn't heard back from Fry's. Grr. Poor dearie. How long does their bloody paperwork take, anyway?

I swear, the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex supports more bookstores than any other city I've ever been in. There are 13 Half Price Books within 45 minutes of each other. Actually, that's the distance from the two farthest ones. You could visit them all without driving more than about 20 minutes between each.
There are about 6 Barnes & Nobles within the metroplex, and 3 or 4 Borders. 4 or 5 Whole Foods Markets; I've lost count of those. Maybe even up to 6 now. Plus if you're willing to make the one-hour drive up to Denton, you get Recycled Books, which is 2-story. The size of a full-size grocery store, split in half and stacked on itself, basically.
And that doesn't count all the dozens of normal, hole-in-the-wall used bookstores.

Austinites will tell you that Dallas traffic is scary, but I've found that traffic in ANY good-sized Texas city is scary. ^_^ There are just more freeways in D/FW, 'cause we're more spread out. Austin's pretty compact.
