Interesting article on social media and not using them, as I am a non-Facebook-user and will be so long as the company views me as a set of eyeballs whose data is owned by their company. It *is* very difficult in some respects, especially now when I am searching for a job; every other person tells me "Get on Facebook!" ...Apparently selling my soul and privacy is a prerequisite for employment.

*nod* I have a "professional" Facebook/LinkedIn basically so I can have a presence there. Recently I started playing the Facebook Sims game, and a few other games there, but my presence is otherwise fairly minimal. It's basically "OK, so you want my name? Here's my name. Here's my professional email. Here are a few headshots. Here's my job history. Here's NOTHING ELSE IMPORTANT. Enjoy!" I check it once every few weeks or so.
