Re chickenpox packages: even assuming they only contain chickenpox, the risk to adults who come across them without immunity, whether because they're immunosuppressed or because they never got chickenpox immunity - mild bouts as a kid may fail to make you immune as an adult, as I personnally found out - and *stare* measles???? *shudder*

Mama had the chickenpox at the same time as Tay and I had it. Tay and I were itchy and bored, because we couldn't even read, because Mama was miserable and sick enough that she had all the lights off in bed. (One-room cabin.) I was aware that she was much more ill than we were, and as I got old enough to actually wrap my head around it, it only became more alarming.
