Sounds like messenger bag modus...the smaller and more important something is, the more likely it's on the bottom of the stack. I really need to get a new fetch modus.

I stack ziploc bag modus (the has-a-zippy-thing quart size) and tote bag modus.

Crafty. The zippy bit is especially important. I've sort of just learned to stop putting small things in my bag altogether, which has actually saved me a lot of trouble in the long run. But then there are those moments when you realize that you really, really needed the two marbles, random found action figure, pencil, piece of twine, and smushed-up granola bar that you ditched in exchange for being able to find your wallet on the first try...

Seriously though I wouldn't have pegged you for an MSPA reader! Fan high five. o/ If I were able to make it to write-ins this year I'd be doing it in my Hero of Breath hoodie. :D

The smushed-up granola bar, the bottle of caffeine tablets, the five diet lemonade powder packs for your friend who doesn't do water, the jar of glucose tablets, a chocolate bar, and the ginger candies are all in one baggie. Ten of the pens and a deck of notecards are in another. Toothbrush, toothpaste, saline nose spray and eyedrops, two lipsticks, and all the glitter are in a third. There's a very large one for the first aid kit and some of the random things that won't fit in it.

This sounds a lot like what I used to haul, though I never got the wits to carry the glucose tablets (and I'm not nearly as generous to people who don't do water). I tend to have an overstuffed pencil case and like...three different sketch/notebooks that I always mean to draw something in and never do. I've convinced myself that a teensy pencil case and one small sketchbook is enough.

Then for the longest time I messed it up by carrying a HUGE bag of trail mix, but damn if it wasn't really good trail mix...I mixed it myself and it was divine.

I got sucked in to Homestuck by Data Structures for Assholes, which haunted my brain until I gave in and allowed it to feature in one of Mike's jokes last NaNo.

In general, I'm not particularly generous to people who don't do water, but specific people who I spend a decent amount of time with get certain allowances.

I have an amazing pen case right now, because I got a whole bunch of markers.
