...Dare I ask if you were having a discussion of Bedlam's Bard?!

I have SERIOUS LOVE for that book (okay, omnibus)... And serious (secondhand) hate for the sequels, which I staunchly refuse to read. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BREAK UP MY OT3, LACKEY/GUON! NOT. ALLOWED.

Seeing as how no one else on earth has ever read it, apparently, I mostly have to suffer in silence and never get a chance to squee about silly-but-awesome elf books and threesome-shipping with anyone. *makes face*

A-ha! Yes, the Piers Anthony influence there is, shall we just say, regrettable. *wincing* (I was so annoyed when whatshername and the demon and Faro didn't become a threesome, though. Poor Faro, left out in the cold!)

♥ ♥ BETH/KORY/ERIC FOREVER!!1! ♥ ♥ Haha, yes, and their aliases -- that reminds me of another fantasy series I have found improves with rereading (alas, an incomplete series!). The main characters are mostly geeks and librarians, so the literature references are manifold, and I would suddenly catch a new one on almost every reread as my own education expanded. :D

That would be the "Twelve Treasures" series by Rosemary Edghill. (Note the name: going by the titles, there would indeed be 12 books total; however, there are only three, and apparently no more scheduled to appear. Paused forever only a quarter of the way through! Woe.)

HAHAHA, YESSSSSSSSs! *highfives* I LOVE THAT SERIES. And you're right, talk about "so obscure I have given up on finding out anyone else has ever read it" --! That's why I didn't bother to identify it by name when mentioning it the first time. I've never received anything but blank looks before!

Heehee, I fangirled likewise. And then had to fight down a terrible urge to spam-comment with squeeage about 12T and whether it could possibly maybe just think about it you would make me so happy please ever be picked up again...
