Winter is coming. Specifically, Yuletide. I'm playing this year, and OH MY GOD BEARS.

I'm coming up from the sick-and-miserable at the moment, but ugh. Sick and miserable. This probably would be the time to go stock up on soup and watch bad TV, but somehow that sounds like too much effort.

The Sims Social is fun and brainless, but it's in Flash, and it keeps making Chrome suck, which keeps bogging down the whole computer, which makes Firefox suck (not that Firefox needed much help), lagging the shit out of Trillian, and then that pings me out of IRC, which loads Trillian further with the need to reconnect. Ugh. :(

Hi, I'm cranky. It's Festivus, so I suppose I get to air my grievances?

Being sick sucks. Being sick over the holidsys - when all around you are happy and cheerful and expect the same from you - sucks balls. And not the fun balls.

My aunt already had a very low-key Solstice party. Both of us were pretty exhausted. It was a nice dinner, though!

I don't know what the guys have planned for Christmas proper, if anything, but if they do have anything going on, it should probably be compatible with sitting in the corner with a book (my old preferred way of spending any major holiday).

Urgh, sick-and-miserable is the worst way to have a Yuletide. Sympathies.

Sympathies, too, for the BEARS! feeling - I posted my fic right after isityuletideyet read, "Due: NOW" and right before it read, "Due: NOW OMGWTFBEARS", so I consider myself to have very narrowly avoided the BEARS! this year!

...At least where Yuletide is concerned. There are still the HC_Bingo!bears looming behind me!

When I played FarmVille a lot, I did that in Chrome rather than Firefox because while it may lag while you're playing, closing the tab frees the resources quickly, without having to close down the entire browser as I would have to do with Firefox.
