The dangers of solidified dihydrogen monoxide.

I was discussing the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide in #yuletide today.

One of the particularly degenerate people there told us all that in her youth she had used slabs of solidified dihydrogen monoxide recreationally; the practice also involved the use of sharp blades. Her level and type of use dulled her sense of self-preservation and eroded her ability and willingness to dodge projectiles.

It didn't help matters that there were government-sponsored facilities that enabled her use, nor the media coverage glorifying the practice.

She doesn't use any more, but it's left her with a taste for violent sports.

*is amused*

Was this person partaking of this substance as part of a team that faced another team or as a single or double performer who is accompanied by music? My theory is closer to the former. XD

Indeed, that was my assumption. And it does take a very special person to decide they would like to have projectiles hurled at their face at high velocity, especially while in the use of such a dangerous substance as solidified dihydrogen monoxide.

As mentioned elsechannel, other recreational group users of solidified dihydrogen monoxide end up wielding brooms and throwing heavy rocks in each other's general direction, all while shouting impassioned gibberish at each other. For some reason, Norwegians always seem to end up wearing psychedelic pants whilst under the influence.

It's wacky stuff, that DHMO.

Solidified dihydrogen monoxide has led to depths of depravity to which I refuse to sink, even though I routinely carry a bag of magnesium carbonate with me for recreational purposes.

Note the sharp and pointy tools. There is clearly a causal association between solidified dihydrogen monoxide abuse and weaponry.

Muahaha. I like to take small pieces of solid DHMO and crush them violently with my teeth. That's how badass I am. Yeah. Badass.

I also enjoy this violent recreational activity. They say it's bad for my teeth, but I just can't stop. As a Southerner, I put DHMO in every vaguely cold drink, no matter what time of year it is. We're so uncouth and vile, I know.
