(I, I dread the day I use that phrase non-hipster-ironically. It happened to me with a lot of other internet constructions that I started using ironically, and it's bound to happen with Tumblrisms.)

Because of reasons can also be taken to mean (or at least I use it this way) "we have discussed these reasons extensively, and you know, and I know exactly what is going on in this neck o'the woods." Which is similar in an outward facing case but is different emotionally!

Oh, and especially when the topic is one where the specific reasons are things that are far better suited to a private discussion than a public airing, so enumerating them in that discussion would be distracting and counterproductive.

I've generally seen it used as "I want this because I want this."

I've used it that way too, but I think I use the "we have discussed this" one more often, or at least, more memorably/deliberately. YMMV, of course.

I also see a lot of: "THIS.", "GPOY", "___ can get it", "FOREVER REBLOG", "BLESS THIS POST", "I just can't with ___", and all of the rage comics memes (of which I guess forever reblog is kind of an offshot of forever alone).

I mean I guess it gets fuzzy b/c there are a lot of things I see a lot on tumblr but I don't ~only~ see them on tumblr, or I'd seen them other places before, etc. BUT THOSE are def ones I've seen a lot more on tumblr or initially on tumblr!

Some of those are really more based in 4chan or Reddit culture. But there's a lot of crosspollination.
