That reminds me, I had a whole enraged rant about the marketing of that stuff that I was going to use some actual words for one day. If I ever figure out what they are, beyond *froth*, *flail* and "heteronormative, phallus-focussed gimmickry"

The "I don't need to. I just need to outrun *you*" joke is also applicable to resisting/discouraging attacks in general. But one nitpick: you don't make attacks less likely to *happen*. You only make them less likely to *succeed*.

Regarding your nitpick: actually no. You make bear attacks less likely to *happen* by avoiding doing things that are known to attract bears, such as safe food storage, safe garbage storage, and the like.

Ah, yes. (I meant for attacks in general, and against computers or sites specifically, not bears. But even then, "nitpick" may not be the right word. Difference or distinction, maybe?)
