Argh. :(

Somehow, between whatever I have on my machine (the "good" one, the desktop that runs fast half the time and not at all the other half) and the recent changes to LJ, I wound up having links that didn't work unless double-clicked on. So I tried (in frustration and desperation) set opt_exclude_stats 1 -- and that cleared it up.

I'm in the sort of mood where I even resent video for existing on the internet, because of my whole computer situation.

for what it's worth, you're not the only one who has found that that script is messing up the way their browser responds to clicking on links.

Hm... I was wondering why addresses weren't appearing in my status bar when hovering over links. Apparently, this is why! Set opt_exclude_stats, and now it works...
