The Engineer's Song (gender-flipped)
The Engineer's Song
An engineer told me before she died
A rum jiggy bum jiggy bum jiggy bum
An engineer told me before she died
A rum, a rum
An engineer told me before she died
I have no reason to think she lied
A rum jiggy bum jiggy bum jiggy bum
A rum jiggy bum jiggy bum jiggy bum
She had a man with a hole so wide
A rum jiggy bum jiggy bum jiggy bum
She had a man with a hole so wide
A rum, a rum
She had a man with a hole so wide
That he could never be satisfied
A rum jiggy bum jiggy bum jiggy bum
A rum jiggy bum jiggy bum jiggy bum
So she built a bloody great big wheel
With two balls of brass and a prick of steel
The balls of brass she filled with cream
And the whole bloody thing was powered by steam
She laid her man upon the bed
And put his feet above his head
There he lay demanding a fuck
She shook his hand and she wished him luck
Up and up went the level of steam
Down and down went the level of cream
'Til at last the peg boy cried
Enough! Enough! I'm satisfied!
Now we come to the stupid bit
There was no way of stopping it
Oh the man he yelled and leaped aside
Good thing he did as the lube had dried
The machine it had been bolted down
But it loosed the screws and rolled through town
It was last seen heading to Washington
Politicians there had better run!
If you're building one don't cry or twitch
But always fit a safety switch!

i was very confused until i realized that the engineering songs i am used to is the one with lady godiva in it, which i am guessing is a different song. maybe canadian engineers have a different tradition?

yeah whatever. I had to google battle hymm to fnd out what tune that was and it is sufficiently similar if not the same to be useful in telling people the tune.
also, I don't care for MIT or how they have their precious verses different than other schools. i like the version from the engineering schools i associated with and while the "PC" verses are newer than when i was a student , than for any given folk song or verse song a certain amount of overlapping variations is to be expected.
It is still much less nasty than the song azurelunatic was riffing off of (which i had never heard of before this post)
