I've considered Canada. Toronto would be a nice place to raise a family, and I'd be given just about every right to do so there.

It's so motherfucking cold for a Southern boy, though. Any suggestions as far as how to remedy that?

...as to how to make Canada hospitable to those unfamiliar with the ins and outs of frozen wastelands. I come from one to a burning hell, you see, and I'm not sure how I'm going to adapt to going back home to Alaska.

Oh come on now it's not that bad here. We don't live in igloos or drive dog sleds. Toronto would not be the place to raise a family, there are much better surrounding areas that are about an hour drive to Toronto that are much nicer and much less expansive because the cost of rent in TO is thru the roof. As for the cold you'll adapt I'm sure and if not there are parkas.
