Spot the difference:
"I am awesome. I am interesting and everyone likes me. No uglies."
"I am awesome, and I like to think I have something to offer anyone who might be interested."
Scenario number one does not seem to acknowledge the idea that anyone might be disinterested.
Scenario two is only aimed at the interested. (Though it does not really address where one of the interested parties might not be to this person's taste.)
Two sounds more likely to back off at signs of disinterest.
