My book of the day when I went to the library was Tanya Huff's Sing the Four Quarters; after that, the Bester; now, Dorothy Sayers' Gaudy Night. Just to keep track of my literary intake.

Oooh I just read that Tanya Huff book recently; borrowed it from Meercat. It's going to be a while before she gets it back, as I have to reread it. It hits something internally...you know, how when you read a fiction book, and it makes you go, "Yeah, that's how things work!"? I have to reread it to search and find which parts are usable and which parts are not.

Note: do *not* try actually using the name "kigh" for elementals. At least not air ones. They soooo do not like it. :(
