Pork

I today in Sam's Club tried something they were giving out samples of: the hot pocket thing with cheese, egg, bacon. Votania can't eat pork; she barfs. Nephew is supervised closely, lest he develop the same problem.

I ate it and I got all dizzy. Think that pork will eventually wind up making me hallucinate. Came to senses again at least 2 hours later.

It's not the pork itself that I react as much as it is the nitrates and nitrites in cured products like bacon and sausage.

Do you also get weird reactions to artificial sweetners, MSG, or caffeine? They're all related.

I haven't noticed as I do... I'll have to keep an eye out for that, though.

In Votania's case, the sensitivity is religiously induced. She never had problems until she developed a faith.

...by "weird", would you include bizarre mindtrips on caffiene? The world doesn't quite turn inside-out, but I have exceptionally strong visualiziations of things that most people consider the realm of fantasy books.

I tend to avoid artificial sweeteners and MSG, so I have no clue there.
