Toads
I had never seen a real live toad in the wild until last night. There were four toads in the driveway under the light, eating little bugs. Go, toads. I like things that eat bugs.
Carol, who lived a few streets over, the one with the ADHD kid my age, kept all sorts of critters. She had toads. She held one and showed it to us one time. I don't think I wanted to hold it.
They're bumpy and funny-looking, but they look like frogs and they hop like frogs and I like frogs.
I still think that a snake is a better pet, though. Is anyone feeding my fish and watering my violet?

yes the violet is still alive... actually was going to ask you about that...it's been growing... ALOT... I think a transplant is in order but thought to ask you since it's yours if you wanted to wait and do it yourself when you are home???

Glad you liked the scorpion. Aunt-Fayoumis (that's her nickname here) saw what postcard I was looking at and said that no, I couldn't send anyone a scorpion postcard! They'd think I was thinking poisonous thoughts at them! I told her it was to send to you, and she relaxed, because she knows it's just your style.

anyway... I will see how the violet does for the next couple days, I think it might be cool to wait, I just was thinking more on the personal side of sentimental, being that it is your violet if it meant a lot to you to do all the upkeep :)
fireblossom misses you, but the fresh water I added today to keep the bubbles going strong seems to have helped cheer the little darlin' up :) (I'll be sure to allow him a pleasant visit to Compton before you get back GIGGLE)
Echo is in California having fun with princess... however the queen is there too so it's not as fun as he'd have liked...sigh... He did call me from a payphone last night to tell me he loved me, and he misses me (MELT!) ... He should be back on Sunday.
Marxdarx has discovered once again that to try and discuss anything rational or irrational when it's bitchy witchy week is a BIG mistake (like I always said...run...just run...when it's that time for me... RUN!)... we've reconciled and are cool again though... and he's standing up for himself better too! :)
You know how little angel crys sometimes for his gramma... well now he's doing it about you... he REALLY misses you! I've been reading Harry Potter alot, which has helped :)
I was wondering too... what time will you be back on the 14th? (if you know)
I'm planning a welcome home dinner/lunch/breakfast...well, something... :0
anyway, gotta fly... lots to do on my one day off!!! Love the hours, sad thing is now I don't have time for much LOL

Hey there sis...
I'm glad the fish is doing OK. Before I left, I told Marx to be sure to water the cat and feed the garden... that got a giggle out of him, which he needed. I'm glad to see you and he are doing well without me there to keep you two out of each other's throats. Guess what week it is for me too? Heh.
So... some clarification's needed here I guess... is "the queen" HIS mom or the Princess's mom?
Tell Nephew I say hi and I miss him too. It's no fun being around only old people. I'm the youngest one here, and I think that includes the dog!
Aunt-Fayoumis and I are keeping our Chaos Camping schedule, so we have no bloody clue when we're arriving -- it may even be on the 13th. Hail Eris!
