Feeling not quite as terrible but still under the weather. (poor thermoregulation, poor appetite, some pain)
Not allowed to attempt to pick up strange men at conferences.

Lem is dangerous, especially if your first exposure is The Futurological Congress.

Also, when a guy drops subtle hints similar to "I'm married", and "I'm having dinner with my wife later", a question like "Are you possibly polyamorous?" might come off as a particularly unsubtle pass.
Lem is Purple's favorite, so when I happened upon that section of shelf, I decided I would try a few to see how I liked them ... I may have picked up, er, several...

Oh, yes, that might be seen as unsubtle. For some people, it might be just right, but they are probably rare.
The bookstore is lovely. Had I money to purchase with, there may have been buying. Alas, no money, so no buying.

Subtlety has never been a particularly strong point of mine. I tend to miss it by a mile, in either direction.
