Chris and I talked on AIM all the time when we were living at Mom's house...I'd be on the computer in our bedroom, and he'd be in the den on the computer in there. :) Right now, we've only got the one computer. REALLY need to fix the laptop (needs a new CD-ROM drive, so we can't install *anything* on it, really) and fix it up to work with the cable network.

I may not be in college but I'm always studying, does that count?

also, speaking of books, the books that I've dubbed off limits on enki's desk are ok for you to read so long as they return themselves back to the shelf when not in use...some of them are borrowed so I'm very protective of them, I know Viking and Echo wouldn't mind you reading any of those books, I just don't want them lost...so feel free to read :)

forgot one thing.. the book that red sandalwood signed for my solstice pressent (wonder if he still laughs over that one? LOL) is TOTALLY off limits, you know why. :)

I just mentioned that just in case. I know you won't but it's good to have it aired to clear any misconceptions that may occur, for example, you misplace your copy and want to look something up... I'm just that person who covers all the bases, even when they don't need to be covered LOL one of the reasons why I'm still around LOL! :)

heh....I used to ICQ w/ kanigem all the time, and she was 10 feet away in the dining room. I'm actually geting annoyed at kokuten because he won't ever start ICQ anymore so I actually have to get up and go beat on his door to talk to him.....might be time to make him setup LICQ on his new linux box.

For the record, my primary and I have "discussions" in IM, so that we can remain calm, and react what we are saying... and not how we are saying or worse, what we think the other person is saying in body language, completely ignoring the actual words.

So having a conversation over the sound of music [heh] not so strange at all.

Good idea there. Adam and I did that a few times; one of my failure modes is becoming too upset to even speak, but writing and fingerspelling still work.
