Making time to do that kind of thing is often the biggest obstacle. I know it took me a couple of months to get around to figuring out what phone to get and where to buy it. There were too many things that seemed more important. My old phone still worked fine around where I live though, so the incentive to do something wasn't as big as it could have been.
