You weren't before? hehehe. I love Jim Carrey. Have you seen The Truman Show? or...Man in the Moon (Man ON the Moon??) ? Both also very good....though not QUITE as comedic. Love him...love him lots. Good fun.

I have barely seen any movies. I've seen the Star Wars trilogy, and the Star Trek movies (though whether or not I see this next one is debatable). I've seen others here and there, but I'm not really a movie addict.

I think Jim Carrey is a *fabulous* actor, when playing relatively serious roles. I cannot STAND his comedies; they make me want to smack him. I refuse to go see a Jim Carrey comedy; if my loves want to see one, they can go without me. I don't mind other people enjoying them, it's just that I can't. He more than makes up for his comedic idiocy, however, by being an extremely talented dramatic actor. Very expressive and enjoyable to watch.

Having known far too many actors who take themselves too seriously (high school drama class, summer fine arts programs) it's refreshing to see some serious goofing.

Serious acting is nice too, though.
