Our worlds are shaped by their architecture

I deeply appreciate the way that LJ suggestions as-was, and DW folks, have a visceral awareness of the way the little touches of a site have impacts on the site culture.

I'm not going anywhere in particular with this idea, but I think about it from time to time and it reassures me.

This is precisely why I finally came to DW and returned to active long-form blogging this year. The whole like-button culture elsewhere was starting to become unbearable.

I am sad that my preferred style of interaction doesn't mesh as well with DW, but I certainly value the benefits of it, and appreciate the awareness and effort to maintain it, even if it doesn't precisely serve me best.
