Today I felt unaccountably tired and slept more.

We also decided we might as well let the oven do a self-clean cycle, and whoo boy that was certainly a decision that we made. The window is open, and I'm staying up until the cycle is complete.

I have taken to calling Belovedest's band instrument a "honk honk", along with all its accessories. This is entirely cute and in no way obnoxious.

Yellface has been slowly warming up to alexseanchai. Lately she has been deigning to sleep on or against Alex's feet.

You are brave! I've always been afraid to run the self-clean because I like my house and don't want to burn it down.

We decided to have someone awake to supervise the operation. The outside of the oven was warm but could be touched.

I left the rack pads (heatproof cloth wrapped and snapped around the front of each rack) on, and I should not have. They were not heatproof to cleaning temperatures.

There was a lot of smoke. I put on a filter mask.

Thea was supervising us foolish monkeys until I ran out of cope for the air quality and took her downstairs.
