The reference might be the pun on impeachment.

Strikethrough was an event on LiveJournal where a bunch of fandom users who had not actually done anything wrong got caught up in a badly motivated suspension sweep, carried out under protest and threat. The event shook Fandom and was the earthquake that prompted the eventual creation of the AO3. The sweep was instigated by a complaint from a very creepy "concern group" which I believe to have been a front for some alt-right trolls. So the tables are turned.

Since the circumstances are different, I have no idea whether any of them will be positioned to go on and make a hub for right wing terrorist shit, but we see what is happening to Parler.
