Meds follies
Went over my meds with my psych on Thursday. He's pleased with my sleep logs; the sleep schedule is more consistent and also better. I mentioned that the current struggle is getting the strattera in me at a consistent time. Currently I'm taking it after breakfast, which can mean as late as 4pm. Woops.
So I thought through how I could get it earlier and more consistently, and today I was laying out my pills for next week, and so.
My meds regimen up until however long ago I got the new meds box: with/after breakfast, with/after dinner, at bedtime. Filling as many pillboxes as I had, stacked in my meds drawer, and hopefully filling a month ahead once I got that many clear again. Filling the bedtime pill wheels on a separate schedule.
My meds regimen with the new meds box with four compartments a day: filling the 2 compartment/day pillboxes ahead of time for the month+, filling the bedtime pill wheels. At the beginning of the week, take the pills out of the AM compartments and split them into Definitely Okay Before Food, and Definitely Needs Food; take the pills out of the PM compartments and split them the same way.
My brand-new meds regimen: Fill the 2 compartment/day boxes ahead of time & the bedtime wheels. At the beginning of the week: split the PM pills into their 2 compartments in the 4 compartment box. Once that's done, split the AM pills into 4 groups: Definitely after a complete breakfast; take 30 minutes before food but no longer; and then in the 2 compartment box: Definitely ok without food; and finally the Strattera and the beta blocker. That two compartment box goes into the bedroom in a bin with the test kit and a bunch of pouches of applesauce.
So the new plan: when Yellface jumps on someone's bladder and starts yelling I stir groggily, go hit the bathroom and wash my hands, come back, test, and chug both sets of the pills in the morning box with a thing of applesauce. Then fall over back asleep, potentially.
At some point this might actually let me go to sleep before 2am. That would be nice.
