No productivity, only nose

It seems like the pain in my nose is down to "standard sick" --

The standard amount of pain I am used to putting up with while in the middle of a sinus flare is approximately the same amount of pain as 3-4 days out from nose surgery. Can't really think about anything else, no amount of blowing is going to solve this, I just have to let it run its course.

Cleaning out the stents is fascinating. I did not get any instruction on how to do that, so I had to look up information on the internet. I didn't get any of the equipment that the internet recommended, so we've been using q-tips.

Right nostril is doing great, hardly any bleeding. Left nostril is slower, but today hasn't needed much attention.

I've been reading some, gaming some. Keeping my med schedule and finding food is A Lot. Twitter has started to hit the Nope Slope, and I spent a useful many minutes with twitonomy to snag the full list of who I'm following with a little bit of info from their profile, so I can try and be sure to find people's other digital homes. Not that I've been reading my full list all that much over the pandemic, just little clips here and there as I have the emotional energy.

It galls me to think that I'm weak enough to use the prescription pain meds on mere sinus pain, but -- maybe I should consider also that my typical experience of sinus pain might actually be That Bad.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you have been tolerating a lot higher levels of pain and thinking of them as normal because they have not been sharp increases and they have been there long enough for them to be considered normal.

This is, if anything, a decrease from the pain levels of sinus infection when I was small.

I'm glad your new nose piercings seem to be by now no worse than a sinus flare, and very sorry for the converse. I hope they do their job and you never have to put up with that any more.
