pixy stix and dirty dishes

Getting some cleaning-up done. Put away the bulk of my laundry; have yet to do the large bag of laundry that needs to be done. It has some of Nephew's stuff in it too, because it's next in the Stuff That Really Really Needs To Get Washed queue.

When Votania was digging in the cupboard for stuff that would be easy on Nephew's poor stomach, she found an old plastic box full of all sorts of interesting things, like Pixy Stix, skittles, gum... I'm putting them away in other, less space-intensive, ways. The spice drops are disappearing.

I have lost nine pounds since mid-July. I don't fit my size 20 jeans yet, though.

Pixy stix are evil and dangerous, I have decided. They have far too much sugar.

At the con I worked at earlier this year, someone was handing out the monster-sized pixy stix...half an inch across, and as long as my arm, easy. The sugar high was slightly scary. They did come in handy for those graveyard shifts in con-ops, though. :)

Oh, mmm. Those are the ones that we used to chug at camp. They're excellent.

These ones, though, are the small ones.

ever done pixy stix and mountain dew shots?

pour in a bunch of pixy stix - andf then take a gulp of dew. It fizzles! and the caffeine high + sugar high is - like you're five years old and hyper again. But the blood sugar does a bad crash on the other end for me now, so I try not to often :-)

Ever mixed 'em before putting them in your mouth? Take pixy stix and soda (Shawn's favorite for this was Clearly Canadian) and dump the first into the second (over a spill-safe surface such as the trash can, especially when doing this in Hess Rec Center) and be prepared to slurp the foam from the squirting fire-hose-type explosion thing.
