Success!

I have had my shower, and my room is clean. There is much visible floor. I can't start revising my English paper quite yet; I can't work on the portion of the science homework that needs Visio, or on the Database homework. I could stand to give my speech about Shawn a run-through, to check the time.

I suppose I could make my bed. I suppose I could vacuum the floor in here, or the living room floor, or clean out the refrigerator. I could sweep and mop my bathroom floor. I could put away Votania's laundry for her. I could wake the sleeping five year old and feed him.

With all these things remaining, one would think I shouldn't be feeling so peaceful.

Wow, that sounds familiar. Good for you! ^_^ I suppose I should really see about increasing the amount of visible floor in here, but I don't know if I have the enthusiasm for that today, given that misoranomegami (my sister) and I cleaned the kitchen last night. (Well, about half of the kitchen, anyway. And it was Scary. The other half is just as bad.)

On the other hand, this is just junk, not trash, so it would be easier to do, if I could just get started on it.... sigh... I guess I'll try to psyche myself up for it after all. =/

My primary problem's been lack of storage space.

Storage space, storage containers... A family of packrats... And parents who won't sort through the mail and toss the junk, because half of it's financial papers, and I can't tell which ones are important. We're working on it, though.

I use a system of binders, sorting and hole-punching or putting in those plastic sleeves like papers, sorted by date.

Hmm... That might be a good idea. I know that's what Dad does with the investment reports; maybe we should expand it to some of the other paperwork.

*looks around the room and nods sheepishly* Yeah, I only manage well when I'm organized. The chaos just keeps creeping back when I'm not looking. I guess it's time to get organized again, while I still have at least a vague idea of what's where.

It's time for me to go through the Boxes Of Stuff and organize those. I have accumulator boxes, you see, which I put my chaos into until I can iron it out.

I have those. Of course, many of mine are in a storage building at the moment. I wish you luck; if they're like mine, you'll need it. Well, patience and determination, really, but luck never hurts.

I cleaned up a few months ago; I have a three-hole punch in my school binder, and one on my desk at home. My father got it for my birthday one year, since I kept snagging his.

Now I have to go through my old binders and figure out what to keep and what to pitch.

...I'm still boggled by this morning's smack in the face from the universe.
