Woo gem show
Went to the gem show! With
sithjawa! And my power chair!
10 foot ramp is long enough. End with the little extension is the tall end. Two people to handle it.
The back screws are still in my left jacket pocket.
Align the front first, then put back side of seat down.
It's possible to get the clutch unscrewed from where it needs to be screwed in, and this is a pain. Triple pain in the dark. I held the flashlight.
Put up the foot plate before loading.
Chocks to use as interior ramps are on order. Also need a ramp strap. And travel securement.
Gems were very shiny. Got some inexpensive wizard pendants etc. Told the guy that I do like jewelry that makes me look like a wizard.
Tried getting elotes on the way home but heat + Tajín = "it smells like poison" and I had Belovedest take the container to the outside trash and took one of my meds for chemo side effects. Woe. Should have opened windows.
Edit: and I almost forgot about one of the amazing parts: I met a trainee service dog! And I asked his person if she wanted to let him sniff my power chair and she was delighted!! Because it's important for service dogs to be chill about power chairs and I happened to be in a situation where we could take a few minutes to introduce him to the concept! And he was so brave!!!

I’m glad you remembered about the chair bits because I meant to ask before I forgot and then I got distracted by Needing To Lie Down.

And yay for wizard jewelry and successful power chair outing!
Boo for chemo side effects. (Wikipedia is trying to tell me that Taijin is part of the phrase for a Japanese culture-specific syndrome related to social anxiety. Is that how I should be interpreting that word?)

The one bite I was able to have was delicious, and I'm looking forward to it once I can convince my nose and stomach that nothing terrible is going to happen to me. I'm going to take this as a warning that I can't be around peppers that are cooking right now. Ordinarily I can be around bell peppers, I just can't eat them, and I can have small amounts of hot pepper.

It's also a nightshade plus salt and acid, and my nose was getting pure nightshade with no corn, since the corn is fully coated in delicious cheese and spice.

I wonder if it's related to... *searches* huh.
tahine: "From Arabic طَحِينَة (ṭaḥīna), from the root ط ح ن (ṭ-ḥ-n) related to grinding. Final -e is the standard pronunciation in Levantine Arabic."
But
tajine: "From Moroccan Arabic طَجِين (ṭajīn), from Arabic طَاجِن (ṭājin, “shallow earthen pot”), from Ancient Greek τάγηνον (tágēnon, “frying pan, saucepan”), further etymology unknown."
And as it turns out, the seasoning is named after El Tajín, the Classic Veracruz city, which was named after the Totonac rain god.

- the arms on the chair seat come out. They are not secured. Do not lift chair seat by arms.
- the chair base when going up and down the ramp is heavy and opinionated. On the way up, one person in the back of the car to guide the base in and one person pushing is definitely helpful.
- the ramp will cut up the door seal on a hatchback.
